| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Diane M. Thurow of Woodstock, who passed |
| 4 | | away on June 17, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Diane Thurow was born in Chicago to Erwin W. and |
| 6 | | Ingrid E. (Thorsen) Schulz on November 10, 1928; she married |
| 7 | | John O. Thurow in Chicago on December 3, 1949; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Diane Thurow worked at Woodstock Auto Lite and the |
| 9 | | First National Bank of Woodstock for many years; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Diane Thurow was a lifetime member of the VFW Post |
| 11 | | 5040 Woman's Auxiliary in Woodstock and the American Legion |
| 12 | | Woman's Auxiliary in Marengo; she was an active member of Grace |
| 13 | | Lutheran Church in Woodstock; she loved bringing communion to |
| 14 | | those in the hospital or nursing homes and cooking or baking |
| 15 | | for church functions or funeral luncheons; she also volunteered |
| 16 | | at the gift shop in Woodstock Memorial Hospital for many years; |
| 17 | | she enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, and spending time |
| 18 | | with those she loved; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Diane Thurow is survived by her sister, Betty |
| 20 | | Dusthimer, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and |
| 21 | | great-nephews, including: Susie, Sherry, Laurie, Jim, Amy, |
