| 3 | | learn of the death of Raymond E. "Ray" Bucher of Godfrey, who |
| 4 | | passed away on April 11, 2017; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Bucher was born in Cairo to Aloysius C. |
| 6 | | "Dutch" and Ruby (Copeland) Bucher on January 22, 1928;
he was |
| 7 | | a Corporal with the United States Army and served in Japan |
| 8 | | during the Korean War; he married Sherry Greathouse on October |
| 9 | | 14, 1950; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Bucher owned and operated Bucher Glass Co. |
| 11 | | Inc. until he retired in 1993; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Bucher was a former member of Holy Ghost |
| 13 | | Catholic Church in Jerseyville; he belonged to the Godfrey |
| 14 | | Knights of Columbus and was a 20-year member of the New |
| 15 | | Horizons Band; he loved hunting, fishing, and was the founding |
| 16 | | board member of the Godfrey Sportsman's Club in Pleasant Hill; |
| 17 | | and

| 18 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Bucher was preceded in death by his |
| 19 | | parents; his son, Jon Bucher; his brother, Donald "Diz" Bucher; |
| 20 | | and his sister, Mary Kay "Kacky" Booher; and
