SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Kenneth E. Pahlke of Johnsburg, who 
4passed away on January 21, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pahlke was born in Oak Park to Erwin F. 
6and Beverly J. (Strobel) Pahlke on April 25, 1954; he served in 
7the United States Army during the Vietnam era and married Laura 
8Kopin in Chicago on November 18, 1986; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pahlke began his career as a paramedic in 
101976 with Paramedic Service of Illinois, where he was employed 
11for over 35 years; during his tenure, he worked in Berwyn, 
12Lemont, and Franklin Park; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pahlke enjoyed boating, fishing, and 
14traveling to Hawaii with his wife;  he took pride in the 
15retirement home he built in Johnsburg; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pahlke was preceded in death by his 
17father, Erwin, and his brother, Steven; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pahlke is survived by his wife of 30 
19years, Laura; his daughter, Stephanie Pahlke; his mother, 
20Beverly (Dr. Louis) Lenell; his brother, William (Christine)

1Pahlke; and his sister, Jeanne Pahlke; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Kenneth E. Pahlke, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Kenneth Pahlke as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
