SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Larry Joseph Bina of Perry, who passed 
4away on January 30, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Bina was born to George and Emma (Oborny) 
6Bina outside of Lincolnville, Kansas on February 28, 1941; he 
7married Marsha (Lidgard) Fernandes on June 29, 1996; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Larry Bina helped on the family farm and operated 
9bulldozers for 45 years, eventually starting his own excavation 
10company, Bina Dozer Service; during the 1990s, he also began 
11raising emus on his Twin Feathers Emu Ranch; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Larry Bina loved spending time watching his 
13grandkids play sports and sing in school programs; he passed 
14his love of the outdoors and guns along to them and his 
15daughters; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Larry Bina was preceded in death by his parents; 
17his sister, Mary Ann Strecker; his mother-in-law, Mardell 
18(Bill) Lidgard; and his brother-in-law, Lloyd Patterson; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Larry Bina is survived by his wife, Marsha; his 
20stepdaughters, Yvette (John) West, Patti (Joe) Saxer, and Alisa

1Fernandes; his granddaughters, Cassi Ruyle, Cydny Saxer, 
2Carmyn Saxer, and Eden West; his  grandson, Caleb West; his 
3sister, Betty Jean Patterson; and several nieces and nephews; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Larry Joseph Bina, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Larry Bina as an expression of our 
12deepest sympathy.
