HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Greg Fenton on
the 
4occasion of his retirement from the Division of Developmental 
5Disabilities for the Department of
Human Services; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Greg Fenton has served as the Director of the 
7Division of Developmental Disabilities for the
Department of 
8Human Services for the past three years; prior to becoming 
9Director, he was Deputy
Director of State Operated Facilities 
10for the Developmentally Disabled; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Greg Fenton has been a 
12great friend to people with disabilities, their
families, and 
13other entities that strive to improve the lives of the 
14developmentally disabled throughout
Illinois; and
  
 

  
15    WHEREAS, Greg Fenton is the epitome of what an 
16administrator should be, leading his department with

17intelligence, integrity, fairness, open communication, and 
18deep respect for all individuals; he served as a
forceful 
19advocate for all individuals with developmental disabilities, 
20as well as those who love and care
for them; he operates with 
21the belief that every voice has value and is worthy of being 
22heard, and he has no doubt
made a difference in the lives of

1many; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4congratulate Greg Fenton on his retirement, and we look back on 
5his lifetime
of public service with deep respect and gratitude 
6and hold him up as an example for all administrators; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Greg Fenton as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
