HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened
to learn of the death of Mary 
4Murray, who passed away on
January 26, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Murray was the daughter of Joseph and
Rosella 
6Murray and was one of 11 children; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Mary Murray was the devoted and loving mother
of 
8her two sons, Mickey and Timothy; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mary Murray was a devoted and active member
of the 
10Immaculate Conception Parish; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mary Murray's father was a Battalion Chief with 
12the
Chicago Fire Department; he was a hero during the horrific 
13Our
Lady of the Angels school fire where he helped to save many

14children; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Mary Murray's life continued her family's

16tradition of public service and sacrifice during her career as

17an Illinois State Police Protective Services officer in the

18Thompson Center in Chicago; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Mary Murray was a dedicated and faithful
officer

1whose smile never failed to brighten the day of those
whom she 
2protected; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Mary Murray's absence will be felt by all who
knew 
4her, and her life of service and love will not be
forgotten; 
5therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8mourn the passing of Mary Murray, and extend our sincere 
9condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
10her; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to  the family of  Mary Murray as an expression of our 
13deepest sympathy.
