| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Maywood |
| 4 | | Park District Commissioner William "Bill" Hampton; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Hampton was the primary steward of his |
| 6 | | brother Fred Hampton's legacy and a reservoir of knowledge on |
| 7 | | the black experience in Maywood and across the country; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Bill Hampton's contributions to Maywood and the |
| 9 | | park district are endless and no price can be placed on the |
| 10 | | value of his time as a commissioner; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bill Hampton is survived by his nephew, Fred |
| 12 | | Hampton Jr.; therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 14 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 15 | | mourn the passing of Maywood Park District Commissioner William |
| 16 | | "Bill" Hampton, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 17 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
