HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to recognize Lisle Savings Bank on 
4the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lisle Savings Bank was chartered on July 19, 1917 
6as the Sacramento Avenue Building and Loan Association and 
7commenced operations at 2307 S. Sacramento Avenue in Chicago in 
8order to make loans with the "object of building and improving 
9homesteads and the accumulation of funds to loan among its 
10members only"; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, On July 2, 1952, after several moves within 
12Chicago, the business relocated  to 2644 W. Cermak Road in 
13Chicago, and the name was changed to the Sacramento Savings and 
14Loan Association; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, In 1959, the business moved to its current 
16location at 4722 Main Street in Lisle, and the name was changed 
17to the Lisle Savings and Loan Association; and
  
 
  
18    WHEREAS, Since 1917, four generations of the Renn family 
19have carried on the spirit of their founders' commitment to 
20serve the financial needs of its customers and have grown the 
21assets of Lisle Savings Bank to over $539 million dollars;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4recognize Lisle Savings Bank on its 100-year history and we 
5wish them success and prosperity in the future; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Lisle Savings Bank as a symbol of our esteem and 
9respect.
