HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the 100th anniversary of the 
4founding of the Ogle County Farm Bureau; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, In 1917, a group of farmers in Ogle County met in 
6Oregon to begin the formation of a new organization to 
7represent agriculture in Ogle County; their vision was to 
8create a membership organization to educate farmers on new 
9production techniques, improve soil health, create better 
10access to crop and livestock products, and improve 
11profitability on farms across the county; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, To this day, the values, vision, and mission of 
13the Ogle County Farm Bureau remain unchanged; it provides 
14leadership to its 4,600 members in the areas that affect their 
15lives, their farms, and their livelihoods; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The Ogle County Farm Bureau represents  its 
17member's interests with integrity and respect, holding itself 
18to a high standard of excellence; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, The Ogle County Farm Bureau is constructed upon 
20faith, patriotism, stewardship, respect, and individual 
21responsibility; and

1    WHEREAS, The Ogle County Farm Bureau has become recognized 
2as the voice of agriculture in Ogle County; its members are 
3represented by the organization at the county, State and 
4national level for the purpose of leading them in their pursuit 
5of prosperity; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8recognize the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Ogle 
9County Farm Bureau, and we wish it many more years of success; 
10and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the Ogle County Farm Bureau as a symbol of our 
13respect and esteem.
