HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the 50th anniversary of the 
4founding of the Senor Citizens Association in September of 
51967; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Senior Citizens Association has 296 active 
7members whose  objectives are to provide a setting for seniors 
8to participate in functions and
activities that contribute to 
9the well-being of its members; through the years,
members have 
10come from all walks of life and range from ages 55 to
105; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Senior Citizens Association provides legal 
12and government assistance; it keeps its members informed on 
13legislation affecting them on numerous issues, including 
14social security, health, tax,  and consumer fraud, among 
15numerous others; it also arranges for visits from
health care 
16specialists who provide flu shots; and
  
 

  
17    WHEREAS, The goal of the Senior Citizens Association is to 
18continue to
provide programs and activities that enrich the 
19lives of seniors; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
21HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1recognize the 50th anniversary of the Senor Citizens 
2Association, and we wish them many more wonderful years; and be 
3it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the Senior Citizens Association as a symbol of our 
6respect and esteem.
