| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the General Assembly have passed a |
| 3 | | budget that cuts $3 billion
dollars from government |
| 4 | | bureaucracy, including cutting waste from every State agency; |
| 5 | | and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The House of Representatives has passed cost |
| 7 | | saving pension reforms; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Members of the General Assembly have cut over $100 |
| 9 | | million dollars in higher
education administration costs; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, All members of the General Assembly are committed |
| 11 | | to cutting waste and
streamlining State government in order to |
| 12 | | ensure finite resources are spent on vital services in
|
| 13 | | communities; therefore, be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 15 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 16 | | urge the General Assembly and the Governor to continue to work |
| 17 | | to identify and cut costs of State government and save tax |
| 18 | | payer dollars.
