HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Jacob Kollman of Winchester 
4for rasing money to help send veterans to Washington, D.C. on 
5the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Jacob Kollman, a fifth-grader at Winchester 
7Elementary School, remarked to his mother, Cathy, that he 
8wanted to do something to help veterans to take part in  the 
9Honor Flight program; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jacob Kollman and his mother constructed rabbits 
11out of wash cloths and flowers and sold them to raise money; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Jacob Kollman and his mother originally made 50 
14bunnies with a goal of raising $500; they ended up making over 
15700 bunnies and raising over $2,000; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Jacob Kollman wanted to do something to let 
17veterans  know that he supports them, and his efforts will help 
18three to four veterans take part in the Honor Flight program; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2recognize Jacob Kollman for rasing money to help send veterans 
3to Washington, D.C. on the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight on May 
423, 2017; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Jacob Kollman as an expression of our esteem and 
7respect.
