HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Franco Reyes of the 
4Hinsdale Central High School boys swimming team on his success 
5at the 2017 Illinois High School Association Boys Swimming 
6State Finals; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Franco Reyes won four medals, including two golds, 
8at the State Finals in New Trier on February 25, 2017; he now 
9has a total of 16 medals for his high school swimming career; 
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Franco Reyes won his third straight State 
12Championship in the 100-yard butterfly; he is just the second 
13swimmer to win three straight titles and just the fifth 
14Hinsdale Central High School swimmer to win an event in three 
15consecutive years; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Franco Reyes was part of the relay teams that won 
17the 200 freestyle and finished second in the 200 medley 
18quartet; and
  
 
  
19    WHEREAS, Franco Reyes helped Hinsdale Central High School 
20to a team championship in 2015; they finished third in 2016 and 
21second in 2017; and

1    WHEREAS, Franco Reyes competed internationally for Panama 
2before arriving at Hinsdale Central High School; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Franco Reyes now heads to Georgia State 
4University, leaving a lasting legacy behind him at Hinsdale 
5Central High School; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8congratulate Franco Reyes of the Hinsdale Central High School 
9boys swimming team on his success at the 2017 Illinois High 
10School Association Boys Swimming State Finals; and be it

12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Franco Reyes as an expression of our esteem and 
14respect.
