HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Saint Luke Missionary 
4Baptist Church in Chicago on the occasion of its 100th 
5anniversary; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Saint Luke has a long history of service to its 
7community; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Saint Luke performs outreach to those 
9incarcerated, home bound, and the elderly; it focuses greatly 
10on youth; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Saint Luke's Reverend, Scott Onque, serves the 
12community in many different capacities, such as presiding over 
13funerals, teaching Bible class, and helping to quell violence 
14through his evangelistic ministries; he also serves as 
15president of Christian education for the Salem District 
16Association; therefore, be it
  
 

  
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
18HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
19congratulate Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church on its 100th 
20anniversary and we wish it many more wonderful years; and be it
