| 3 | | to recognize Pat Quirk, 2017 Hall of Fame Inductee into the

| 4 | | Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association (IWCOA); |
| 5 | | and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The IWCOA was founded in 1971 with the intent of |
| 7 | | encouraging coaches and officials to cooperatively work
|
| 8 | | together to recognize individuals, groups, and institutions |
| 9 | | who
have further advanced the quality of the sport of |
| 10 | | wrestling; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Pat Quirk is a 1996 graduate of Hinsdale Central |
| 12 | | High School,
where he was a two-time Illinois High School |
| 13 | | Association State Finalist, a two-time All West
Suburban |
| 14 | | Conference selection, team captain, and a two-time
Junior |
| 15 | | National All-American (Freestyle); and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Pat Quirk continued his wrestling career at the
|
| 17 | | University of Illinois; he was a two-time All-American (8th in
|
| 18 | | 2000 and 2nd in 2001), Big Ten Champion (2001), four-year NCAA
|
| 19 | | qualifier, team captain, and a Fighting Illini All-Time Letter
|
| 20 | | Winner; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Pat Quirk has remained involved in wrestling over |
