HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Anthony Pelosi on the 
4occasion of his retirement as Elmhurst Park District 
5Commissioner on April 24, 2017; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Anthony Pelosi was first elected to the Elmhurst 
7Park District Board of Park Commissioners in 2011; he served on 
8numerous committees, including the People for Elmhurst Parks, 
9Finance, and the
Sugar Creek Golf Course Board; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, During Anthony Pelosi's time on the Elmhurst Park 
11District Board of Commissioners, the park received Illinois 
12Distinguished Agency Reaccreditation and Park
District Risk 
13Management Association Accreditation; it received an honorable 
14mention for the Illinois
Governor's Sustainability Award; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, In the six years that Anthony Pelosi has been on 
16the Elmhurst Park District Board of Commissioners, the park 
17received the Government Finance Officers Association 
18Certificate of
Achievement for Excellence in Financial 
19Reporting and Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards in six

20consecutive years; and
  
 
  
21    WHEREAS, Anthony Pelosi has given countless hours toward

1the park and recreation movement in Elmhurst; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4congratulate Anthony Pelosi on his retirement as Elmhurst Park 
5District Commissioner, and we wish him the best in all his 
6future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Anthony Pelosi as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
