AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5197




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5197, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 
42, on page 4, line 1, by replacing "position of battalion 
5chief" with "career service rank of battalion chief or field 
6chief"; and
 
7on page 4, by replacing lines 5 and 6 with the following:

8        "(4) does not exceed the maximum age set forth in the 
9    ordinances of the City of Chicago that"; and
 
10on page 4, by replacing lines 12 through 20 with the following:
11    "(f) The City of Chicago may not regulate the advisory 
12board in a manner inconsistent with this Section or regulate 
13appointments of fire chiefs or paramedic chiefs in the Chicago 
14Fire Department in a manner inconsistent with this Section. 
15This Section is a limitation under subsection (i) of Section 6 
16of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution on the concurrent
