| 3 | | immediately above line 8, by inserting the following:

| 4 | | "(a) As used in this Section:"; and

| 5 | | on page 1, line 20, after "party.", by inserting "For the |
| 6 | | purposes of this Section, "party" includes the producer of |
| 7 | | record."; and

| 8 | | on page 6, by replacing lines 17 through 23 with the following:

| 9 | | "(l) The producer of record shall not be subject to civil |
| 10 | | liability for any harm or injury that occurs as a result of a |
| 11 | | party's election to receive any notice or document by |
| 12 | | electronic means or by a premium finance company's failure to |
| 13 | | deliver a notice or document by electronic means.".
