AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2401




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2401 on page 2, by 
3replacing lines 7 through 11 with the following:


4    "(f) The association shall have one class of membership 
5unless the declaration, bylaws, or operating agreement 
6provides provide otherwise; however, the following  acts  by  the  
7association  shall  not  be  deemed  to  create  more  than  one  class  
8of membership:
9        (i) the promulgation of rules and regulations for the 
10    assignment of parking spaces or storage spaces, in the 
11    absence of the declaration providing for such assignment; 
12    and
13        (ii) the  promulgation  of  rules  and  regulations  for  the  
14    safety  and  security  of  the  common elements or the unit 
15    owners.
16    However however, this subsection (f) shall not be construed 
17to limit the operation of subsection (c) of Section 1-20 of 
18this Act."; and
